Quilt An Hour #6

I am glad I don't have to get up at 5 to begin breakfast like the farmer's wife.  Did you see the #5 post?
The farmer's wife got up early and made us some breakfast to start our day.  I found some fun breakfast themed quilts . . .

Quilt An Hour #5

I could spend hours looking at quilts.  Can you.  I hope your enjoying my 'lock in'.

We had a little hot chocolate and now how about some breakfast.
The farmer's wives would be up by now and already in the kitchen.

A lovely example of this traditional quilt.  The farmer's wife blocks are typically small.  Only 4 or 6" finished.  I admire the quilters that are talented enough to make this special quilt.

There are 83 blocks in this quilt.  You can visit the post here

And #5 from 2015 is here.  Interestingly the quilt I share last year in this spot was a barn quilt!  Hmm.

Stay tuned for #6  we're winding down and getting ready for some breakfast.  And a nap HeHe.

This is a traditional block with a cool twist. I love how she included the bear.  This traditional block is Bear Paw.

The blues are so pretty.  Visit Tish's blog here.

Happy New Year Quilt An Hour #1

Welcome to my 2nd annual Quilt an Hour

When I was a teenager I always enjoyed the 'lock in's' parties at church.  They weren't always on New Years.

When I became a quilter I always wanted to have a 'lock in' quilt night.

This is my virtual 'lock in'.  I hope you enjoy the quilts I've chosen.

First up a quilt I found last January.  Oh my goodness!  I thought this was spectacular.  Look at the workmanship!
