Pink Saturday--Crochet For Christmas

Shhh....
Don't tell.  I'm working on a an afghan for our daughter for
Christmas . . .
T:
I need some coaching.  But hopefully it will turn out.
I have a lovely collection of pinks, turquoise, white and gold . . .
T:
I love the ones with the fringy kind of thread.  I had a gold skein but
it's all in the afghan already.  It's so thin it takes a lot to really see it.

I really didn't know what I was doing buying.  The big bulky ones I don't think will work.  I've already taken some apart.

Hopefully it will come together decent.  If anyone has pointers for this beginner crochet(er) please leave comments!

Today I'm linking over at Pink Saturday.  And guess what?  My
post from last week was featured!

Good for you! I can't tell you how many times I've tried to crochet. Actually, back in 1970 a neighbor taught me to crochet squares while I was pregnant. I had every intention of getting them all put together for a blanket. They're still sitting on a closet shelf. Blue and pink squares because I didn't know what I was having.

Your afghan is coming along beautifully! We love the colors!
YouTube taught our mom how to crochet and she made a granny square lapghan and that was it. The crochet hook has never come out again.
